Yellowbank WMA is a 6,000
acre wildlife management area owned by the Kentucky
Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources in Breckinridge
County. Located along the Ohio River, the habitat
ranges from flat river bottom agriculture fields to
steeply sloped woodland and rock bluffs. Several
fields on the area have been restored to native prairie
warm season grasses, and shallow water wetlands have been
created along the Ohio River to hold waterfowl. A
waterfowl viewing tower is available at one of the
wetlands for viewing waterfowl that use the area during
the winter.
Directions
The
management area is located on Hwy 259 approximately 20
miles North of Hardinsburg, along the Ohio River and near
the Meade County line.
